The Choice
If you have chosen to believe the truths presented thus far on this website, or at least are keeping an open mind about them, the answer to this question is the most important of all.
Santa Can’t Save You
Every year on December, 25th many millions, perhaps billions of people celebrate the birth of Christ. However, over the past few decades Jesus is increasingly taking a back seat to Frosty the Snowman and Santa Clause. Jesus is the son of God and was in the beginning with God [John 1:1]. Jesus was born into this world by a virgin. God put on flesh and lived among us [John 1:14].
Mission Redemption
God didn’t send his Son to Earth to view things through human eyes or to check on how things were going down here. God knows everything anyway. Jesus came for one reason, to redeem mankind – to offer forgiveness of sin through His blood [Colossians 1:13-14 NIV] – to be a sacrifice that takes away the sins of the world [John 1:29]. One of the most well know verses in the Bible is John 3:16 which tells us that God loves us so much that he was willing to send His Son to suffer and die to take our place so that we could live with Him forever. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me” [John 14:6].
Its in the Blood
Blood is a big deal to God. When He created human life, He made the blood the conduit of that life. We know this is true. We know if someone bleeds enough they will bleed to death. The life is in the blood. Before Jesus the only way to get forgiveness of sin was to sacrifice an animal [Lev 17:11]. Because Jesus lived a life without sinning, He was able to be the prefect sacrifice [1 Peter 1:18-19]. His blood has the power to cleanse us of every sin we ever have or ever will commit [1 John 1:7].
Say and Believe
Romans 10:9 tells us that if you say out loud, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in our heart the God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. There is nothing else that we can do. We can’t earn salvation, we can’t do enough good things to merit salvation. All we can do is humble ourselves, ask for forgiveness and believe that Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away our sins.
If you are ready to let Jesus wash away all your sins, pray the following with a humble and sincere heart:
Jesus, I believe that you are the Son of God and I ask you to forgive me of all my sins. Make me clean by your blood. I confess that You are Lord and I believe in my heart that You rose from the dead and are in Heaven with the Father. Thank you for the sacrifice you made for me. I give you my life and I ask you to be my Lord. Fill me now with your Holy Spirit. I surrender all to you. Amen.
